Blogs represent one of the biggest challenges and opportunities for those responsible for marketing or communications within companies. Blogs show a relative importance in the promotion of the business and helps in the promotion of the site.
1. All Blogs and Bloggers are different from each other. Marketers and communicators need to appreciate there is a hierarchy among blogs and bloggers. These range from the influential ‘commentators’ to individuals who indulge their passion or obsession. However, each has their own importance and place in the communication channel. And, as with any marketing or communications campaign, each has to be addressed separately.
2. Blogging follows the classic marketing life cycle. At this point most bloggers would be classified as ‘early adopters’. They are comfortable with technology and normally better educated than most. They also tend to be coherent and (not surprisingly) prejudiced. As such they are important as advocates, opinion formers and influencers, making them difficult for marketers and communicators to ignore.
3. Blogs are often seen as more credible sources of information. Bloggers publish individual opinions with none of the constraints and need for balance that one expects from traditional media - in fact the raison deter for many bloggers is that they are neither fair nor balanced. Public values have changed over the past decade or more. There is more distrust of traditional media which are often perceived as peddling their own agenda - often without being ‘upfront’ about it. Ironically users of blogs actually trust blogs and bloggers more because mostly they don’t hide their bias and the site visitor feels that it is up to them to make the choice as to accept what is said or not.
4. Blogs are threat for the media - so they are embracing them! For the reasons above, media are scared that a skeptical and distrustful public will begin to desert them. So they are getting into the Blogging business. Traditional media want to control the relationship with their audiences. They figure that if, as many US media are now doing, they also include access to blogs on their website, and they will gain credibility. One newspaper executive is quoted as saying “anything that serves the reader with more information is good for us”.

Digital Internet service perhaps may not be as popular as cable, but it’s unquestionably going strong. Qwest convinced that a union of fiber to the node plus Non-cable service to your houses is a champion , notably with new technology that can increase rate as high as 40Mbps.
Within the coming months, Qwest DSL will be presenting DSL speeds in 23 markets. To upgrade the remote terminals with VDSL2 electronics , by the last few years fiber from its central offices out to remote terminals closer to customer homes.
The actual speed will change and this is caused by the distance from the remote terminal. While Travis Leo couldn’t give specific numbers, he was able to pronounce that the huge majority of Qwest customers are able to get 12Mbps download speeds with their Internet service connections. Just those that are lives closest to the terminals (located at remote locations) will be able to have anything that is even close to the 40Mbps. (also, they will entail an extra modem in order to be able to perform this).
It sounds decidedly obscure if you compare it side-by-side to FiOS or DOCSIS 3. It delivers more reliability to the majority of consumers who subscribe at 50Mbps. deployments can now reach 100Mbps While it may not be perfect, it provides about the top DSL service available in the United Service. Although AT&T claims their top speed service to my suburban Chicago home is a disappointing 6Mbps, they’ve yet to achieve even 5Mbps.
Verizon, for now, is selling off portion of its DSL business. Even internet service providers who only offer DSL, such as Qwest, aware that the future of the internet rests in using fiber-optic technology. Qwest’s fiber-to-the-node rollout should be able to achieve something between 12Mbps and 40Mbps. sign of the 2.0 Qwest has take action to the demands of its customers by upgrading its networking for faster upload times. At 20 Mbytes per second due, subscribers should see much less lag in speed due to less stress on the system. The current cable modem service will only put out 768 kbps for uploading..
Qwest believes that it has all the speed it needs for the coming years; Leo highlighted repeatedly that Qwest doesn’t believe broadband sales is strictly a speed-focused game, and that Qwest’s “value-added” services would close the speed gap. In the coming years, the company can always explore new channel-bonding technology or just run fiber out from its remote terminals and up to people’s homes more speed is needed. .

Well Princess and I headed to the Sky way Friday night after getting the brakes fixed on the pathfinder, if you call them fixed, I think we were real close to doing the fred flinstone on the way home. Anyway, we got to the skyway firday night @ about 9pm. Puck, Pierfish and myself quickly got my 12/0 rigged and floated out half a sting ray, Thanks for the STINGRAY Guys. After getting set up, me and Pierfish got caught up on everything going on. The girls, i don’t think stopped talking all night. Anyway, after a while, puck caught a nice little snapp so of course me and pierfish, and i think lynn all got out the snapper rigs, the first cast I had a great hit but missed the fish, pierfish got stuck in the rocks, then after rebaiting my hook, I went to cast agaiin, only to have my rod snapp in half, and pierfish nearly loosing an eye. Well I just gave up after that, owe and the fact that I’m wearing a robotic looking boot on my foot so I just took a seat and chilled. I then ended up getting the 12/0 stuck in the rocks trying to pull it inn to end the night, so then I wrestled that for about 10 minutes and pierfish getting a good laugh, it finally broke the line, and I probably lost a good 150 yards of line. Well that’s the 1st adventrue of the year, May 19 2007, South Pier. Stay tuned for more. Check out FishingRecreation fishing community for great fishing pictures.
